From Commitments to Coordinated Action: Aligning Agricultural Landscapes to Deliver Land Degradation Neutrality

Land degradation and drought are exacerbating our global food system vulnerability. And despite growing commitments, action on policy, finance and partnership remains fragmented.

Join us at UNCCD COP17 where we’ll be bringing together leaders from government, farmers and frontline communities, financial institutions, businesses and implementation partners to explore how we can turn commitments into coordinated action that delivers impact across agricultural landscapes.

This side event discussion will examine how an outcomes-based approach to regenerative agricultural landscapes can help align action and identify practical pathways to accelerate Land Degradation Neutrality while conserving biodiversity; support sustainable livelihoods and equitable decision-making processes; better align policy, public and private investment flows and local implementation; and strengthen partnerships that connect national commitments with landscape-scale action.

Featuring speakers from the Government of Kenya, the African Women’s Network for Community Management of Forests (REFACOF), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), The Nature Conservancy, IUCN, and Regen10.
